Congratulations to

Brandon Sizemore,  2B, Jr., Bryceville, Fla. (Charleston) Valley League Player of the Week

From the College of Charleston, Sizemore and a notable last week with a batting average of .444, five runs scored, eight hits, two doubles, one triple, two home runs, 10 RBIs and 18 total bases in 18 at bats. Helping his team be number one in the league, Sizemore had a slugging percentage of 1.000 and an on-base percentage of .545 with a total of five stolen bases. The Charleston Cougar ranked second in slugging percentage, first in RBIs, tied for third in total bases and tied for second in stolen bases among the league. Sizemore leads his team in batting average with .394, tied in runs scored with 31, home runs with nine, slugging percentage with .779, on-base percentage with .488 and stolen bases with 14. He also has 41 hits, 11 doubles, 32 RBIs and 81 total bases for the season.

Around the Valley in 60 Days 

Around the Valley in 60 Days is a campaign that encourages fans to experience as many of the Valley Baseball League‘s 11 parks as possible. The sponsors are making the trek in the first 12 days of the season. They made their stop here in Waynesboro on June 1. Check out their website to see what they thought of their trip to Kate Collins Field. Or, if you‘re from out of town, find out when they‘ll be at a ballpark near you.
